Mini Tea Boxes...

...Joy To The World...
Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. I know that this time can be stressful and chaotic at times. Busy malls, crowds, shopping, lines, what to get someone...etc! So I decided to create something for my gifts this year. Well...if you didn't know, my mom just came back from Rome/Italy/Israel. She had a wonderful time and she brought back some tea from Israel. She wanted to share it with some of her friends and her group in mini church. So this is what she tells me: "I am just going to give the tea to them in a ziploc bag". I said what? No ways! So I had to think of something. Then I thought...oh, I was so blessed to receive a original, hand crafted tea dispenser from CHALSIE. If you want to see the post...it's here. I wanted to try to make one, but in a smaller size. Here's what my creation looks like...
It's not too hard to make...once you figure out your dimensions. Then everything is easy peasy. This is what it looks like from the top. I used the new stamp set from SU called "The Sounding Joy"...haha. I had to get this set...not only because it had my name, but because it really sets the tone for the true reason for the season.
here's what it looks like from the front...
I am pretty much done with my Christmas shopping. I just have to wrap and deliver. I plan to make a few more of these mini tea dispensers for some co-workers and friends. Have a Merry Christmas! Try to remember...that if you can't find some Christmas spirit in you this time of year, then you don't have the "Aloha" spirit all year through.

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:32

Renovations...DONE!

I don't have any crafting pictures to share with you today, but I do have some final pictures of my living space. I am slowly moving in and getting rid of so much stuff! Amazing what you keep over the years and now you wonder why you did? lol! But I know some of you are anxious in seeing what it looks like. I shared these pics on FB so it may be familiar to some of you.
I am so glad that the renovations...for the most part is done. here's a picture of my living area which doesn't have anything moved in yet, but my room is now filled.
here is my kitchen. I finally have a defined kitchen! I just got a microwave and am now looking for a refrigerator. so if anyone knows a good deal...please let me know! I hope that over the holidays there will be a good sale!
here's my closet. It' s pretty spacious one. I love it! It's packed with so much clothes, crafts and other things. I can fit so many things inside and I still can stand inside it and close it. hahaha!
and finally...here's my lovely bathroom! I love it because it's really big now! I have a wonderful shower and so much space! still waiting for my closet to be built, but hopefully that comes soon.
Have a wonderful week everyone! Be good to yourself and take time to see the beauty around you! Take care :)

Birthday Girl...

...JONI...
Well can you believe I am posting again?! haha! This is my very first card since my renovations. This past weekend we just celebrated a dear friend's "21st" birthday and so I had to make her a card. Her favorite color is blue and I wanted to make it special and different. So of course I had to go to Mama's blog to juice up my inspirations. I saw this on her blog a little while ago and wanted to give it a try. She called it a telescope tag/card. You can check out her post here. she has the links to where she got her inspiration from. I decided to use my lacey nesties for the outside and I just bought a new nesties for the largest circle called: Picot Edge Circles. It really is elegant.
Here's what the telescope tag/card looks like once it's opened. I decided to use TGF birthday Anya II for her card. She's so cute and I love the cupcake too! I attached the telescope tag to a card so that I could write something to her. It was pretty easy to make and I really enjoyed trying this new creation.
here's a picture of the birthday girl! for those of you who know her...can you tell what's different about her? lol. Doesn't she look fabulous?!
Well have a wonderful week. I hope to be creating more soon. Until next time...have fun and make every moment count!

Halloween Treats...2011

...PURSES GALORE...

I know that I am so late in posting this, but I finally took pictures of the last of my treats that I turned into purses. These belong to the ladies on my co-ed team, but because of rain and APEC, we haven't had a game in 3 weeks! So it must have been a blessing, so that I could take pictures of my creation! lol! I went down to J's to see what I could find and found these cute DPs and I also bought the CS to match. I ended up making at least 40 of these!

I used all the new supplies I bought while my crafting stuff was stored away. for the inside of the bag I used the bag #2 XL die (found that one in my stored box). for the shape and the outside of my bag/purse I used my new nesties: reversed wonky rectangles. love it! I also bought a few of those self adhesive half dots (in black and orange) to decorate the closure of the purse. the purse is held closed by a mini velcro dot that you can get at Wal-Mart.
Well...here is my first post in a long time! I am slowly moving things in and having access to my craft things. that was the first thing I set up...lol! As I take my time to move in to my new renovated room, I will also have more time to craft. thank you for your support and for sticking by me through this long process. I hope to start creating on a regular basis soon! take care! I hope to stop by and check out your creations too...soon!

Ebony...

and IVORY...
lol...I think of that song when I see the name of this stamp. This is a cutie from the Emerald Faeries Garden line. I just received in my DT package from Stamp and Create and wanted to create a card for a dear friend's birthday. I may be a month late, but she let me slide this time :) I am still in and only wading knee high in renovations and so whatever I could get my hands on to create this card is what I did. I was also very blessed by Taelyn's 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Chinen. She is into crafts like me and saw a 12 x 12 book of wonderful CS and DP and gave it to me! so I had some paper to use as well! So here's what I came up with...
I had access to my nesties and big shot so I could do a few things and I found some ribbon to use. I also have access to my ticket stamp and die from whimsy stamps so I lucked out on that too. I can't wait till this whole event of renovating is done! I know everyone said to be patient, but I want to craft too! thanks for sticking by me! I am still around and hoping to get in a few things or two. Till next time...KEEP CRAFTING FOR ME!!!

Sweet Kiyomi...

...BUTTERFLY SMILES...
It is a bitter sweet day...my dad passed away 5 years ago today and it was my mother's birthday yesterday. As the years go on...you realize how precious life is and to enjoy every moment you have with your family and friends. So with that, I really wanted to create a card for my wonderful mom. I had to stop by my dear friend Teri's house the other night to finish up a project for someone who asked for some box #2 favors. So Teri was so sweet to let me use her supplies! I got to use her new stamps that she just got. I think this one is so cute and would be perfect for my mom. Her favorite color is blue...so everything is in blue :) I love the border punch from SU. I think I need to get this one!

I am so glad to have had a chance to craft. It's really hard to get yourself back into the swing of things. As soon as the renovations are done...I can't wait to move back in and start crafting! will share with you my new space once it's finally completed! If you are my friend on facebook, you can see how it's coming along.

Thanks for sticking it out with me...hope you have a wonderful weekend! I have a 3 day weekend as Friday is Statehood!

UPDATE...

...THANKS FOR THE FRIENDSHIP...

Hello my dear sweet blogging sisters & friends. I truly appreciate the support, encouraging comments and that you are loyal enough to stop by. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I will be out of contact with all of you for a little while. As of Monday...we have finally started the 2nd phase of construction...so the bathroom, cabinets and floors will be ripped out and let the rebuilding begin. So with that, I have moved everything out from downstairs... literally meaning I have no computer...no access to email or internet, unless I am at work and I have limited access to my crafts now since everything is blocking other things.

**for those of you who have joined my C.A.T.S. I am planning to hook up my computer one last time and send out the partners for August. Please don't be alarmed that I am sending it out early as this is the only way I can do it. If there are any problems, I receive email notifications to my phone & I will find a way to contact you**

Thank you so much for being a friend. I am grateful that I have friends in all of you. I will definitely try to stop by to your blogs when I have the time. Take care of each other and make sure you make every moment count...till then...BIG HUGS!

Hello Kitty...

...TAGS...
Happy Tuesday everyone! Has everyone gotten over the Women's World Cup? I can't believe what has happened, but I know that this is just a building block for the USA Women. I know that Japan needed this win...for their country...to give them some happiness filled with hope! congrats to Japan...and I am so proud of this USA Women's Soccer team!! any whoo...on to my creation. I was asked to make some hello kitty tags. I thought, why not use my cricut? it's so much easier to put together. So I did! I added a border and used my sizzix tag die.
I had to make 16 of them. Not too bad once you get a system going. It was done in no time!
Hope you enjoy your week. We have a visitor from Japan staying over and she has taken over my craft room for now. So I won't be able to create anything till after she leaves. But I hope to stop by your blogs to check out and be inspired by your creations! Have a wonderful day!!

Creepin Birthday...

...PIPER...
Hello! I am on a roll...haha! I had to make another birthday card for a "old" friend and I just got this sassy stamp in the mail and thought why not use her. She's a new creepin' called Piper. I do love this line as they are a little spunky, but cute in their own way. My friend's favorite color is purple as you can see. I colored her with my copics and I think I got carried away with the sparkle spritz...lol. I added some flowers and my own dyed ribbon. I also used my CC Designs die for the butterflies and then used my nesties for the image. I even used my ticket die as well.
Well, I hope that if you are a BIG soccer fan or are becoming one...you are enjoying the ride of the USA Women. I have been loving every moment of it. These ladies are brilliant and amazing!!! GO USA!!! (Finals: USA vs. Japan on Sunday 7-17-2011 @ 2 pm ET or 8 am Hawaii Time) BE THERE!!!

Binding Fun...

...NOTEPADS...
happy Hump Day everyone! I know...I am posting two days in a row! haha. I am going to our annual neighborhood watch dinner tomorrow and we can either buy a gift, find a white elephant gift or make something. So of course I decided to make something :) I love using my bind-it-all. I know I am a late bloomer, but now I am making so many different size note pads. Here are two that I created. I used 4 x 4 coasters for the covers. I then went ahead and decorated them. I decided to use those cute critters from cricut. I chose to use the panda and koala. They are so sweet. I used my favorite border punch and flowers to finish them off.
I hope everyone is having a good week! we are half way there. Now that furloughs are done, we are back into the swing of things. I think I am really going to miss those extra days off...lol! Well enjoy the rest of your week and keep smiling :)

I hope she received it already and likes what I created.

Stamp and Create Challenge-Ribbons/Bows...

...HAPPY 4TH OF JULY...
Happy 4th everyone and I hope you are enjoying this holiday! I know that I have been MIA...just came back from my trip to Vegas and am still relaxing a bit more. I wanted to share with you a new challenge at the STAMP and CREATE blog. This month it is to use ribbon/bows. So for this special occasion I used TGF-Princess #3. I decided to make her festive for the 4th of July. I used the bow easy, may arts crocheted ribbon-white, satin ribbon-blue, star punches, colored her with my copics, used stickles and used the Bo Bunny-Blast off DP for the background.
I even tried to make her look like she was carrying a wand or sparkler. lol! Well I hope you are enjoying this wonderful festive holiday! Please be safe and make every moment count! HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! Till next time...Be good to each other! Hugs!

I Do...

...CHERISH YOU...
Hello my dear blogging sisters and friends! I know I have been MIA and I thank you for your concerns and for thinking of me. I have been "moving" out of my room so that the 2nd phase of the construction can start. So with that my crafts as well as everything else has been turned upside down! I do have access to my dear supplies as I don't know how long this construction process will take...we are changing the bathroom, cabinets and floors. so I know I will get an itch from time to time and will be very frustrated if my crafts aren't available. But with that...I will be taking a blogging break. I will try to create from time to time and I will definitely stop by your blogs to see what everyone else is creating. So, on to my card...my cousin from L.A. got married and so my mom wanted me to make her a wedding card. I am not good at these. But at least I had TGF set to help me out. I wanted to keep it simple. her favorite color is purple, so I went with a lighter shade. I added some ribbon and a heart charm. I also used my embossing folder and my new border punch...that I love! I don't know if you can see it, but I used tulle for her veil. that was really humbug! lol!
well...I hope you all have been creating like crazy! I am also leaving for VEGAS!!! I will be leaving in a few hours from this post. So I will be having some fun and some relaxation. I hope I will have some mojo when I return. Thanks for sticking by me! Hope to blog soon! Hugs to you!!

I used my doily from Cheery Lynn Designs, my MS border punch, some May Arts black crocheted ribbon with some faux suede ruffled edge black ribbon over it, hung an anchor charm, added bling everywhere and my sentiment is computer generated.
Aargh...Matey!! It's only Monday...but if you get a chance to check out the other ladies on the DT at the Stamp and Create blog, please do so. These ladies do such wonderful creations!

Marci...

...SUGAR N' SPICE...
Here's to another work week. Thank goodness it will be short. I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend! hope it was spent with family and friends and that you made every moment count. I am slowly in phase two of redoing the bathroom, cabinets and flooring, so with that I am now packing up and moving out. I hope it doesn't take too long, but at least I am moving my crafts to an area where I can still craft if I have to. I am so happy about that. Any whoo...on to my card.
There is a dear juror who bakes for us every single day she comes in and so I wanted to make her something to say thank you. I found this cute image from La La Land called Sugar n' Spice Marci. She was perfect for what I wanted to make. So I created this card. I used my nesties, dyed seam binding ribbon, my ticket sentiment and colored her with my copics.
I then decided to make a matching shaker checkbook cover and pen. I am so glad I decided to buy them as digis. There's no waiting and you can make them any size you like =)
I also decided to make a note pad and I added a mini pen too. My set was complete!
Have a good week everyone! Tomorrow I will be posting for the C.A.T.S. sign up. If you can join us for the next three months, please do so. Happy Crafting!

...CHRISTMAS COMES EARLY?...
It's another Monday and that means there is another Product Spotlight at the Stamp and Create store...this week it's Whiff of Joy. Everything in this section is 25% off. Go and check it out. I used the Cute Donkey from WOJ. I decided to make a tag with it as it comes with the To: and From: sentiment as well. I colored him with my copics, added some stickles, used my snowflake punch and some dyed seam binding ribbon. I created my own grass. I did watch a few videos on what to do and then incorporated my own.
