August OCS and RAKS...

...KETTO...
Hello everyone...I just wanted to share with you my OCS card I made for my partner this month. The theme was to make an Asian card. This was fun! It really made me have to think and I then remembered I had the Far East DP. I also used my Ketto stamp. My partner also liked turquoise so I tried to keep that in mind while making my card.
I also wanted to share with you this beautiful card that Tammi made for me with the image I gave her. What outstanding coloring and I love the scene! Her cards really are gorgeous!
I also got these cute images from her too! Oh they are too cute to use! Thank you so much Tammi! I am truly blessed by you!
woo-hoo! what a surprise this one was! I got happy mail from Amy! Such a cute card and look at those pretty paisley stamps! I was so shocked to receive this! thank you so much Amy for thinking of me! You have truly blessed me!
Hope you are having a good week so far.
I have been learning some life lessons in friendship and I am so glad that I am.
Its been an eye opener and a really blessing.
have a good one and until next time...

Tamiko's Thursday Teaser...3-D

...HONEY BIKINI...
Hello everyone...this week our TTT is to create a 3-d project...anything but a card! So I knew exactly what I wanted to create! I sort of cheated a little as I didn't create the box, but I did do everything else.
I used a box that I was blessed to get from Teri. she was giving it away & of course I took them all...lol! I love this box as it already has a window and so what could I create with those? Shakers!!! So I used my cute Honey Bikini from CC Designs for my image. I added lots of flowers, used my nesties for my DP opening, added my swirls & a sentiment.
I am having so much fun with this new found CT! so if you like what you see, you will love to see the other ladies and their 3-D creations...go check them out!

One more card...

...STELLA...
Hello Hump Day! hope everyone is having a great week so far. I have a short post for you today as I created one more card for the Island Social. Stella is one of my favorite GF images and so why not use her for this? I used my pinks, greens & black copics to color her.
here's my card...I really wanted to step out of my box again and create something different. I did enjoy using those swirl bling! added some flowers, crocheted lace, MS border and used my butterfly punch. this was fun to make!
have a wonderful day everyone!
here's something to think about...

Island Girl Social 2010...

...BUGABOO DESIREE...
What a wonderful weekend I had as I went to the Island Girl Social 2010 that was held at the Honolulu Country Club. There was great food, wonderful company, awesome shopping @ Tamiko's store and fabulous crafting and creating! One of the challenges was to create a card with the colors of Tamiko's blog banner...pink, green and black. So this is the image I used. Her name is Desire and she's from Bugaboo Stamps.
I wanted to be really creative and change my M.O. a little...but I don't know if I did that. I wanted to make something cute. I added lots of bling, my favorite crocheted lace, a pink rose, butterfly punch, MS border punch and I used one big fan border punch. I sprayed the whole image with my Tsuineko sparkle & used some stickles.
this is what it looks like once you pull up the fan punch...there is a little sentiment inside. these cards are being donated to a charity, but because we didn't know which one, we were told not to use sentiments on the outside.
hope you like my creation today...I really enjoyed myself making this card. It really did make me think outside the box. oh...and I have a picture to share with you. I wanted to introduce you to Tamiko's CT. We are all local gals who really want to promote another local gal's store...have fun creating together and just experience being on a CT.
Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Monday Mania Host!

...FLIRTY ANYA...
***this will stay on top until Saturday, Aug 21, 2010***

(scroll down for my daily posts)

Oh My Goodness! I am so blown away when I received an email from the famous Amy Young! She asked me if I would like to host a Monday Mania at Club Anya and Friends! I was so honored and blessed...then I thought...oh no! what should I create or make or...then I thought, hey how about a shaker card? I think I can do that...lol! I also knew what image I wanted to use once I was knew what I was going to do. So here is my Flirty Anya. I paper pieced her dress with my LV paper! I think this turned out so cute! I even gave her some gold sparkle streaks in her hair and what makes the shaker the most fun? lots and lots of beads!
here's my card in full view. I used my spellbinder blossom for the window. I also used my thin foam for the shaker to pop it up, instead of using the double stick foam tape. I added some SU satin ribbon, flowers and my new butterfly die. I cut that one out with my LV paper too! I even added some half pearls. I also used my cuttlebug for the inside circle for my background. I sprayed the card with Tsukineko's sparkle shimmer spritz. I love to make my projects shine =)
here's a side view so you can see the depth of the window and the different beads I put inside. I used heart confetti, beads and micro beads. Doesn't this Anya look so "hawaiian" or "local"? I do and she's so easy to color and fun to alter. Can you see what I altered on this one?
so now it's your turn to create a fun and fabulous shaker card. Please go to the Club Anya and Friends blog to find out all the deets and link your card for a chance to win! Also leave me a comment here so that I know you entered! Good-Luck everyone and I can't wait to see all your creations!
