5 1/2" Hello Kitty Face...

I saw Cheryl...Life is Sweet...making a HK pouch/bag as a make n' take. I wanted to make a bag with the HK face and needed it big enough to hold a couple stamps inside. So I am still borrowing Teri...Big Ideas from a Little Girl...her cricut and thought about what I could make with it. here's what I came up with...
I made the cut to be at 5 1/2". I love how it turned out! I made this purse for my daughter! she's going to love it. So those of you who have one, you know how to make it. black and white cardstock and I used SU DP for the bow. I used pink polka dot ribbon for the handles.
here's what it looks like on the inside...I used the easy box tutorial...8 1/2" x 11" DP. I closed it with a velcro dot.
here's a bag I made to give away for Valentine's day...it can fit a couple stamps inside...and maybe a few other things.
this one I tried to make my own box...that was pretty hard to do...as I'm not good with measurements...lol! so I tried it and won't use that again. I had some purely pomegranate satin ribbon for the one handle.

this was so much fun to make! I actually enjoyed making this HK w/ the cricut. I think the bigger the size, the easier it is. the pieces aren't so small.

here we go...have a wonderful SUPERBOWL weekend!
hope your team wins!

Hello Kitty Pail...

I have been blessed to have been able to play with a cricut from Teri...Big Ideas from a Little Girl. Since I borrowed it...I've been playing with it everyday! So I decided to make something for my BFF and share a little Valentine's day gift =)
here's a pail that I bought from J's...I decided to decorate it with the HK heart from Cricut, used Bella Rose DP, made some shrink hearts and ribbon...
here's a side view...I gave some ribbon, fun flock and micro beads.
I decorated the sides with hearts and the top of the tin with the giga scallop circle, mega circle, stamped a sentiment and added a heart.

thanks for stopping by today =)
hope everyone is enjoying their short week!

Geisha Anya...

I went to check out The Greeting Farm (Pink Poison) and found this new digital anya! I thought she was adorable...just like the other ones that I had to get her! So here's what I came up with...
I love my purple and I bought the cardstock from Papertrey Ink called Plum Pudding. I got the washi paper from Creations Unlimited. I bought the micro beads...purple and brown from Cute Stuff and I used the nesties for the rectangle. I also used my cuttlebug stylized flowers for my background. The stamp inside the shaker box is from the clear japanese dolls from Hero Arts.
here's a close up of my geisha anya...I used stickles for her hair and kimono and I put a big purple bling in the middle of her flower. you can see the micro beads too. I used my copics to color her...and there you go!

hope you love this card as much as I do!
thanks for stopping by today.
have a wonderful day =)

Revelations...

this will be a small post today...
I went to a wonderful celebration of Bret Kaneshiro's life...
on Martin Luther King Day.
I wanted to make a simple but pretty card.
I quoted: Revelations 21:4...
Bret...you were a fine man and a wonderful friend.
thank you for touching my life.
I miss you so much...
but the promise we are given by God that we will one day see each other again, gives me hope, comfort and peace...so until we meet again my dear, sweet friend.
Rest in Peace.

Happy Birthday Princess...

my daughter is going to a birthday party at Aiea Bowl...one of her classmates, Kaitlyn invited her to help celebrate her birthday...Taelyn is very happy to go and wanted me to make a "cute" card for her friend...so I said I'd try. I used the Princess Anya because it really fits a girl's birthday party. I used stickles for her hair, wand and crown. I used the Imaginisce DP and I paper pieced her dress added a little heart with the words: friend to friend...and of course I used my copics =)
the card measures: 4 1/4" by 11"
score at: 3" and 8"
you can decorate the flaps and inside...
I also decided to use ribbon to add to the card.
here's the close up of the princess...
this is what the inside looks like...I added the happy birthday sentiment and we decided to add a gift card to her present...so I made a little pocket on the side to have it hold the card. I added some swirls to make it look finished.

hope everyone is having a great day...
I'm truly enjoying this weekend =)

Can you say COPICS!

OH MY GOODNESS! I was blessed again with hanging out with Teri on Thursday and this time she suggested we go to Hawaiian Graphics...I was so excited! I thought...how many should I buy and what color and how much do I spend...then I said I will find out where it is too! I never knew where they were till Thursday. So here is my picked out set of COPICS! there is so much to choose from...but Teri taught me a great thing...bring a good sheet of white cardstock w/ you when you go so you can test out the colors...they also look different once the colors dry.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart Teri! I was so blessed that Teri bought me some of these copics for my birthday...coming up in February. I was so surprised and happy =) So here's my first creation with the copics...this one is definitely going to Teri!
I used the angel anya...Teri is my angel =) I had a blast coloring! of course Teri loves pink and I think I actually found some nice pinks. I also bought some spellbinders at J's when he had his 30% off in his entire store...so I bought the ovals. I used the Imaginisce DP and chocolate chip, pink pirouette and pixie pink cardstock. Heart punches and the friend sentiment. I also sponged the edges of the hearts.
I tried to use icicle stickles and dazzling diamonds together for her wings and halo. I don't know if I like how it turned out, but it will do. I tried to use foam tape all around her to pop her up, but you can't really see it in the picture.
so the colors I used for my copics are...
E25 caribe cocoa
E37 sepia
(the browns for her hair)
RV02 sugared almond pink
(for her dress and bow)
E51 milky white
(for her skin)

thanks for stopping by today...
hope you all are enjoying a long weekend =)

Cute Stuff in Pucks Alley...

So I finally got a chance to go to Cute Stuff in Pucks Alley on my lunch break with Teri on Wednesday! This has been a really cool week...I got to spend all my lunches with Ms. Teri...thank you so much! I had so much fun...there is so much stuff to look at...I must say I was truly overwhelmed! once I settled down and took more time to look at things I found these two cute stamps from Create in Me. the dog and the little angel sitting on a flower.
here's what I created with them...I saw this kind of creation at craft fairs and I wanted to see if I could make something this cute. I made a smaller shaker box and cut out the two stamps. The shaker box window I used the curly label punch. I also used glass dew drops and SU DP paper.
here's the shaker box up close...I found pink and brown micro beads at Cute Stuff too. sorry for the glare...that's where the flash bounced off.

hope you have a wonderful...blustery weekend...but be safe.

Sending Happy Thoughts...

My daughter Taelyn and her soccer teammates...Manuia (2000) Temahine - U9...decided to make a big box to ship to the troops in Iraq. Each girl bought some local goodies...we bought arare (mochi crunch) and iso peanuts to send and we also had to include a handmade card.
so this is what I came up with...I love that Tilda stamp...I received this one from Enjoli at Stampin' under the sun...isn't she so cute! I thought since we were going for the "local" theme I would stamp the hula girl Tilda. I used the sentiment from a clear stamp set from Hero Arts. I got the background paper from designer digitals called monkey do kit by Mindy Terasawa.

I hope the soldiers like what the little girls made for them =)

Happy Aloha Friday everyone!
Live in the moment...and enjoy it!

Quart Pail...

So I saw these cute pails at J's Knicknacks and thought this would be a good gift to give...never tried to make one and everything was 30%, so I said I'd get a few and try them out.
this is how mine turned out...if anyone has checked out Eunice at A Star for Chiemi...she did a great job on her pail for the year of the Ox 2009. Mine came out a lot more simple =)
I can't get enough of the Hello Kitty Butterfly, even though it's a little more work, she's too cute to pass up and she's a great topper for anything.
I used the Raspberry Tart DP for HK wings, flower and clothes as well as the giga scallop circle punch for the top of the can and the band that goes around the pail...I also use the mega circle punch and added a rub-on called a perfect day...added a big bling from the doodlebug gems and there you have it.
I also added some paper flowers around the band to add something to it...put some pearl bling in the middle of each flower to finish it off. I will definitely try to make another one and to add more to the next one =) I gave this one to Teri at Big Ideas from a little girl and filled it with ribbon from Papertrey Ink and a stamp w/ 3 owls!

thanks for stopping by today...
check back tomorrow for more!

Trust in the Lord...

***update: the question was asked about the stamp...sorry I usually post that...the stamp is from Verve stamps...they have a few good sentiments/sayings =) hope that helps!
this will be a fast post today...
I found out 2 weeks ago that a really good friend of mine passed away...he was only 37 yrs. old and worked for the Honolulu Fire Department...he graduated from Castle High School and played soccer as an awesome goalie.
I am truly going to miss him and this card is for him... I do believe in this verse: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding" Proverbs 3:5...No matter what may happen, know that the Lord loves you and that he has a purpose for your life. As my dad would say: you may never know WHY but there's always a reason.
have a good day =)

Kawaii Desu Ne...

So cute isn't it? (Kawaii Desu Ne) in Japanese...
I love this stamp set and can't seem to get enough of it!
I used the clear stamp set from Hero Arts...the doll and the flower border.
I used pretty in pink, chocolate chip and pink pirouette for cardstock...I used chocolate chip for the ink....I used the mega oval scallop punch and the jumbo oval punch too.
if you look closely you can see I added bling to the flowers and her hair. I used my favorite "thinking of you" sentiment stamp. This is going to my BFF of course...
I just wanted to post it because it truly is so: KAWAII! (cute!)
thanks for stopping by today...
I will get a move on and start creating more =)

here is what I made with the new stamps I picked up...aren't the japanese dolls so cute?! they come in clear stamps and a smaller size in wooden stamps.
I made this little pocket note pad with the clear stamps...used the new Raspberry Tart DP paper from SU...added some bling, ribbon and stamped the sakura w/ pink pirouette ink on same color cardstock...
this one I used the wooden stamps...I made a mini calendar...

hope you all are enjoying your weekend...
