Two Card Swap...

Denise is having another fun filled day at her house...but I won't be able to make this one as I will be in Maui for my co-ed soccer tournament! I still wanted to participate in what's going on...so Denise told me that they will make 2 cards and then they are going to # them and pull numbers and then everyone should end up with two card swaps...or something like that. So I decided for my first card...to make it pink and brown...as most of the girls love pink! I used my manga #2 image, used the out of the frame technique and then I CASEd Maria for her card layout. Maria gave me a beautiful card and I wanted to try the layout too! here's how my card turned out...
here's a side view of the card I made...I added some prima flowers, ribbon, bling, sugar coated brads, used my oval and label one nesties and my cuttlebug embossing folder. I added a cute sentiment to finish it off.
here's my next card...I know some of the ladies also love purple...just like me...so I decided why not make a card in the colors I love! I used Gretel...CC Designs...printed her out and made her two inches big...for the first time...I'm using my square nesties...this is a layout I found while looking at the new anya challenge...they have a sketch challenge this week...I liked how it looked so I took a stab at it! what do you think?here I added prima flowers...dew drops...bling...dazzling diamonds and a sentiment. I also used my cuttlebug embossing folder and DP and ribbon from PTI.
happy Monday Everyone!
hope you all have a great week!
I'll be looking forward to my trip to Maui at the end of this week!
thanks for stopping by =)

TGF binder...

my daughter wanted me to decorate one more thing for school...her binder! so I said I would try. I thought that cutting 3" x 3" squares of pretty in pink CS, then cutting out 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" white squares of CS, then stamp the images was the easiest way to do this...so I took the 4 Anyas that best describe my daughter and used them here...I also printed her name in the middle...so they know it's hers! sorry...it came out kind of blurry.
I decided to take pictures of each Anya that I stamped and colored for her binder...here is "Sing"...my daughter loves to sing with her ipod and her favorite color is pink!
here is the flutterby one...she's my butterfly princess...
here's the mermaid...my daughter loves the water and her favorite Disney princess is Ariel, so this was perfect!
here's Megan...my daughter is also loving to wear shorts and her hair up...so this one reminded me of her when she dresses to go to school.
thanks for stopping by!
hope everyone had a great weekend and...
Always tell the people closest to you that you love them!

Heidi in the flowers...

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! here's to starting a new week! My GGF Teri...Big Ideas from a Little Girl...got a wonderful birthday card and so we wanted to try see if we could make it! of course I said I would try it out! So Teri was right...it's a whole 12" x 12" sheet of DP or CS...which ever you decide to use. I used Heidi in the flowers from CC designs, used my oval nesties, colored with my copics, added some bling and used some dazzling diamonds!
it can be a folder or an envelope...Teri's had a pull out card with a GC attached to it...I decided to make it into an image folder to give away! I used my marvy uchida punches and the sentiment from SU.
here's what the inside looks like...
it wasn't too bad figuring out the measurements...
here I go...so on one 12" side...
score @ 3 1/4" then flip and do the other side @ 3 1/4"
then score the other 12" side...
4 1/4", 8 1/2" and 10 1/2"
this side you'll be cutting the score lines up to the 3 1/4" on both sides. so now you have flaps. the top flaps...4 1/4"...double stick tape down together. that is where you can decorate more or put a sentiment or message there...as you can see I have pink CS covering that area.
the second flaps...between the 4 1/4" and 8 1/2" score line...you will fold in diagonally...top corners down...then fold flaps in. this makes it look like an envelope.
then the flaps between the 8 1/2" and 10 1/2" score lines...fold in.
the last flaps...cut off...then the tab that's left (middle) fold on the 10 1/2" score line down. then the bottom corners...fold in diagonally. fold up on the 8 1/2" score line...to make the bottom half of the envelope. You will only be adding double stick tape on that flap that's being folded up.

I hope you can understand what I'm talking about.
thanks for stopping by!
have a wonderful Monday!

Altered Gable Box Tutorial...

I am so sorry girls...I was so busy this end of the week...with playing in a soccer tournament and then going to this awesome craft party get together that I didn't have a chance to add in my measurements to make my favor box! so here it is...and again...I am so sorry! I just took the original measurements of a gable box and altered it a bit!
1 - 5 1/2" x 11" cardstock
score the 11" side of CS...
1/2", 4", 5 3/4" and 9 1/4"
score the 5 1/2" side of CS...
1 1/4" and 3 1/2"
here...make sure you cut off the tabs on the 1/2" side...but not the middle...see here...
cut the score lines like this...
add adhesive on one side of the box...this will be the outside of your box...
put adhesive on the other side...this will be the inside of your box...
tape the middle flap down...this is the inside of your box...
before you tape your box together...if you want to stamp a sentiment on it first...do this now before you tape your box together...you can also punch your handles now too or do it later.
tape the next flap down inside...this is what your box looks like from the top view...
flip your box over and take the tape off the bottom and stick together...
then stick the other flap down to seal the bottom of your box...
then punch your handles in and you're done!
I used the scallop oval from SU.
hope this helps out everyone!
I had a good time making these for the gals on Saturday!
I hope they all liked it!
I will be posting other RAKS I received later!
have a wonderful Sunday!
I'm off to play a game now!

Islander Girls Party...

Teri...Big Ideas from a little girl...was gracious enough to put together an awesome Islander Girls Party! Most of us had our first encounter through the blogging world! I will post pictures of this party later! but I wanted to make something special for all the ladies that will be attending. I wanted to make it cute, small and simple. so here's a picture of 35 small gable boxes that I made. If you want to try one of these...I have the measurements here...I used the new stamp from Stamping Bella...she's called Altee 'tude. She's sitting on a cloud with a #9 hanging off the edge...I love her! So I used my copics...dazzling diamond and cut her out on each of these boxes. I used the friendship sentiment from one of the SU stamp sets. this one is brown...
here's the melon mambo one...
here's the pretty in pink...and I made some purple ones too! this is what the finished ones will look like...I made one for my BFF as she can't make it...hope she likes it!
I hope everyone is enjoying themselves at this PAR-TEE!
I will let you know how it went!
have a wonderful a fun-filled weekend!
I'll be doing my two favorite things...crafting with friends and playing soccer!

Manga #2...

Since I saw an "out of the frame" card...HERE is a tutorial you can view. I love to do this now! I think it's the sweetest thing! It really gives the image life! So I have been waiting for this stamp to come in from Funky Kits...Sugar Nellie and it did yesterday! I was so excited that it arrived...I mounted it and used it right away! She's sitting too! lol! So I made this card for my BFF...she loves pink and brown! I wanted to just say thank you for her friendship. I know she's checking blogs...but I wanted to post this because this this manga girl is so dang cute!I used my flower nesties...colored her with my copics...added a sentiment and some flowers...I will be giving it to her today and I hope she likes it!
have a wonderful weekend everyone!
it should be exciting to meet all of you this Saturday!
I'm actually going to miss a soccer game for this event!...this is a never and a no-no! but I can't resist to meet all of you island blogging sisters!

OCS for August...

I am amazed with myself...as I am always right on time with my OCS every month. but this time I had a vision on what I wanted to create and with that I finished my card...early! woo-hoo! here is the picture of it. I made it purple...my favorite color...it was fun to make because I got to use my favorite color. I love the new GF stamp set! this one is sitting! for those of you who know me...I am into the sitting ones right now. I love to create with them. okay...on to my card! so I took a layout that I saw on Tropical Dreams blog. I looked at it and then made it into my own. Tammi also has a link to Papercrafts by Rach that shows you "out of the frame" nestie tutorial. this is so neat! I love how you don't have to cut off a part of the picture/image. you just cut around it! I used dew drops, ribbon, nesties, circle punches, SU DP, swirl die cut and my favorite prima flowers. I really had a fun time making this card!
here you can see up closer...the image is part of the oval but her feet hang out. I think this is so cool! I need to make more like this.
hope everyone is having a great week!
hope my OCS partner will like this! I sent it to her today!
thanks for stopping by!
