Fishy Favors...

...KOI...
a friend of mine that works in the same building asked me if I could look at something and see if I could create one just like it...so here's my take on it. It's a fish hanging on a line. I thought it was pretty easy...after I took her sample apart and then made my own measurements. lol! I hope she decides that I only have to make 20 vs 200 for her son's 1st birthday favors.
here's what it looks like from the side...I punched out the eyes with the 3 flower punch from SU, and the middle with a small circle punch I had. the fins I punched out with the SU square, but trimmed it and used stickles for the scales.
here's the view from the mouth. if you untie the tail, you can fill this fish with some goodies to share. the ribbon on the front actually helps hold the mouth in the shape that it is in and it also serves as the fishing line.
here's my template that I came up with once I figured it out. kinda crazy yah? it reminds me of the pop-up box I made.
I should be arriving home today...later in the afternoon. thank you for still coming by to visit. hope you have a wonderful hump day!

...DESIREE...
happy Tuesday everyone...I still have one more day in Vegas...so enjoying myself and just happy to be somewhere else =) well, I have another easel shaker to share with you. I created this for my dear sweet sis...Tamiko. I wanted to say thank you for all she does and for sharing her friendship with me. I am truly blessed! I used my blossom nesties for the window. I used the cute bugaboo image called Desiree. added some micro beads and dew drops...added a charm and of course the flowers! this card is a 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". It costs $1.39 to mail.
here's what it looks like once it's opened. I used my new MS punch that I love. it sorta looks like the lotus nestie I own and I used my favorite pearl brad and I also used the cutout from the window and an SU sentiment.
as soon as I get back I will be coming to check out all your blogs so I can see what I have been missing while on my trip. love to be inspired by you. thank you for your continued love and support by coming by to visit and leaving me such heart warming comments.

Baby Boy...Logan

...TOBY WITH FRIEND...
So if you all saw my post yesterday...I was so in love with the card I received from 1LuvnMama that I was so inspired to CASE her card. One of my dear friends from high school just had her first baby boy...so I wanted to make something very special for her and her new addition to the family. I fell in love with these new stamps from Wild Rose Studio...Milton and Co. and I thought this would be a perfect image to use. I added some dew drops and microbeads. I punched out the stars and added some flowers. I cut the window with my circle nesties. I used two thin foam sheets underneath to make my shaker. Its so much easier to do, especially if you want to make different shapes and sizes.
this easel shaker came out to be 6" x 6" card. I had to use two separate pieces to make this easel. I printed out my own sentiment...added more stars and then I was done. this was so much fun to make! can't wait to make more!
Happy Thursday...I am getting ready to take my trip to Vegas. we leave tomorrow and we don't return till Wednesday afternoon...so I will be posting, but I won't be able to comment on all your wonderful creations. I hope to win...or at least get some good stuff from shopping! I hope to take pictures and share with all of you upon my return.
For those of you who know me...I am a "BIG" soccer fan...so GO USA!!!

...PURPLE JADE...
1LuvnMama really is a talented and creative person...but she is also one of my dear sweet friends and I am so blessed to have her in my life. I was so blown away by this fabulous easel shaker. she used the cute WS - Jade from Roll Call, TGF. I love her as she has a little spunk in her. love the beads she used...and the punched out stars are so cute! I love everything about this card. thank you so much Mama!
here's what it looks like when the easel shaker is opened up. Its quite a large card...but I love it! not only is it in purple...but she's such a perfectionist...I can really appreciate her hard work! the sentiment is so sweet! I love these kinds of words. look at those mini stars added with purple pearls...so amazing!
she also gave me some flowers w/ bling...I can't thank Mama enough! if you love what you see...go and check out her blog...you won't be disappointed.
I am ever so grateful to all of you who come by and leave me such encouraging comments. thank you! happy hump day...I will be posting my own card that I CASED from this one...tomorrow. till then...“A friend is one with whom you are comfortable, to whom you are loyal, through whom you are blessed, and for whom you are grateful.” *William Arthur Ward

Large Gatefold box...

...BIRTHDAY PRINCESS...
I wanted to make something special for a wonderful lady who just celebrated her birthday this past weekend. I just sent it out...hope she gets it soon. I made a 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" card, so I wanted to fit it inside this box. I decided I should come up with another size for the gate fold box. so this one is took a 12" x 12" CS to make. I cut two separate pieces to put this together. I used the new Once upon a dream DP...PI image called birthday princess, made the cover into a shaker and used my new MS punch.
here's what the box looks like...I got the idea from 1LuvnMama as she created me such a special and fabulous easel shaker...I will be posting that one tomorrow. don't you just love that punched out flower? I am so glad I got this one!
here's what it looks like once its opened...I sent her some goodies so that she could use! I hope she likes it.
happy Tuesday...

Tamiko's Challenge #4...

...HONEY...
It's time for another challenge at Tamiko's. This time it's to make a shaker card with a summer color theme. Sounds like fun? Come and join us...if you win...you get this stamp! For all the deets, please stop off at Tamiko's. I really had a blast coming up with something different. I made a double shaker...can you see the microbeads in the front and the dew drops in the back? I used Honey bikini for my image. I thought that using oranges and blues are pretty summer colors. I also used the new Imaginisce DP line called Splash Dance.
here's what my card looks like. what's different is that I cut out the window on the DP, placed an acetate window over it and turned that into my first shaker. I then cut out the second window on my card CS and poured the beads in and closed it with my second acetate. I then placed the cut out image onto the acetate, poured the dew drops in and closed it up with the backside of the DP. I of course had to add my infamous flowers and sprayed it with the shimmers sparkle from Tsuineko. I really do love how this card came out cute!
I even decorated the inside...since the DP is two sided...I made sure that the colorful sea life was used to decorate the inside of this card. remember that the dots are used for the background of the shaker. I added a little sentiment and voila!
Please come join us on the fun at Tamiko's. this is your chance to try a shaker if you never did. once you made one...you can't stop! You can use any stamp, just turn your card into a shaker and use summer colors, then add your link to Tamiko's blog. what do you have to lose? If you haven't had a chance to check out her store, please do so too. there is free shipping over $25! We will be waiting to see you and you can check out all the other ladies of the Creative Team. till then...

Happy Friday to you! Thanks for stopping by today...for some of us it's a holiday - Kam Day and we are off. I think it's well needed and deserved. LOL! Okay...sorry that the pictures are blurry. this is what my box looks like once it's opened. I am giving this to a GF of mine who is celebrating her birthday today. I hope she likes it. I decided to make a smaller version of my other one and I think it's perfect to give away for small RAKS.
