Happy Girl's Day..."Hina-no-Sekku"

March 3rd is known as girl's day in Japan...but it started in China a long time ago. They display their hina dolls and peach blossoms for everyone to see. I have a beautiful girl and love to celebrate this day...so I thought about making something special for my friends and co-workers.
So I got this template from Corie...Creations by Corie.
I loved the box and wanted to try make some. I used different DP, ribbon from the Papertrey Ink and I cut out the Hello Kitty faces with the new sizzix embosslit with gold paper I bought a while ago from Creations Unlimited.
here I packed them with some goodies..
I used the giga scallop punch and the mega circle punch.
I printed out the sentiment and stamped it with my cherry blossoms.
here I bought the post-its from Fisher with Teri yesterday and I used the CS and DP from Papertrey Ink, stamped the clear japanese dolls, colored with my copics and used some bling for the flowers on the kimono.
here's the goodies I put in for my co-workers...
it's always better with chocolate!

hope everyone had a good day!
I bought my daughter her HSM 3 extended version and Madagascar 2 dvds for her special girl's day. I know the gifts have changed from before, but the meaning doesn't.
have a good week!

OMGoodness Joy, these are so cute! What a neat idea for Girl's Day. Will have to try this box. Thanks for picking up my stuff from J's, is that all I ordered? Jeez, should have gotten more, lol.

So cute Joy! What's a HSM3? My kids are big so I'm not in tune with the hot kid items. I forgot yesterday was girl's day. Your co-workers were so lucky to get all those goodies.

Jodi

Belated Happy Girls day to you and your daughter!

I need to start getting my but in gear...haven't done a card or anything since last week. Got my new office in and I'm slowly weeding through my stuff! I also have visitors so it's been so hard to get some time to make something! Hopefully soon!

Aloha!
