Happy Easter Baskets...

I was practically begging Cheryl...Life is Sweet to do a tutorial for her box/basket because I wanted to make some for the gals at work for Easter...she was so sweet to do that and so I went to work. I had to go to Teri's house to cut out the boxes...and after all of that...you know me...I had to have it, so the next chance I got I went to J's and bought the dang thing! lol!
So I had already cut out those Hello Kitty bunnies...I received this die from Teri! I decided to make all the outfits the same...I made 15 of them! I used the curly label punch and stamped it with my sentiment... I used the scallop border from SU too.
here's the back of the box/basket...I used the stamp set "Yummy"
this is what the box looks like when it's empty...
and here it looks like when I'm done! I added some bliss candy and some kisses filled with coconut creme! I love coconut! candy, fragrance, soap, etc!

so, Cheryl is having a little giveaway for making these things...so besides making this for co-workers and friends...I made it for the challenge/giveaway on Cheryl's blog...as I say "I'm in it to win it!" wish me luck =)

hope everyone is having a great "short" week!
for those of us who have the day off tomorrow...enjoy it! I took off the rest of the week after today! my daughter is on spring break too...so we can spend some quality time together.
thanks for stopping by and leaving such wonderful comments! I totally appreciate you!

"Miss Anya" if it's your birthday...

Happy 21st Birthday Michelle!
you don't look a day older than your age =)
so I decided to use my "Miss Anya" images for this special occasion! I wanted to make a card that was different and special...and I had these cards with an opening in the front, so if you had a picture to put in you could just insert it and send a card. I decided to make it look like the anya ladies were popping out of the card.
My favorite color is purple and Michelle's is pink, so that's why I chose the colors I did. I also stamped some swirls and added some butterflies with my punch, added paper flowers and I used the friend stamp from SU.
here's a closer view of the girls...I gave them both some sparkly eye shadow too! I love those stickles which add so much to a image on a card.
so with that...
Happy Birthday to you...
Happy Birthday to you...
Happy Birthday BFF Michelle...
Happy Birthday to you!!!
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!!!

Polyshrink Kitty...

So I got to see my BFF's card she made for Cheryl and I thought I want to try that! So yesterday my daughter told me that her teacher had a birthday...so she loves Hello Kitty as much as we do...so I thought it would be great to make her a shaker box with the polyshrink. so I did what Michelle did and this is how mine turned out! here I used the Imaginisce "fairest of them all" DP, pink microbeads, the polyshrink HK face and I used my label one nesties for the window opening. I also used the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punch and the scallop punch from SU. used a bling in the middle and used some stampin dimensionals and ribbon.
so what's a card without a present? I was so lucky to go shopping with Teri on Thursday at Price Busters and we found great deals...so we found some Hello Kitty stuff and I bought extra and that was perfect! I had a gift to give! I used the sizzix Hello Kitty face die, used a flower brad and put a bling in the middle. I used a glue dot to hold it down to the ribbon...and there's my decoration for the present.
hope you all are having a great weekend!
take care of yourself and be safe =)

Taelyn's first Cheer Anya...

Taelyn wanted to make a card for her friend Sarah for her birthday and she's leaving...today is her last day...so she wanted to use one of my stamps that I have...so I let her pick one. She chose the cheer anya. I told her she had to color it herself. And so she did...WOW! I am amazed at what a great job she did! A little fact...my daughter will be turning 9 in April. I am surprised at how she has watched me color and did her own version of highlights in the hair...I gave her my old set of pens to use and she loves them.I helped out with the other stuff, but she did the main picture!
here's her Cheer Anya upclose...I am so proud of her that she did such a great job with the coloring of her very first Anya.
hope everyone has a great Friday!
after work today I will be going to TJ's to celebrate my brother's birthday. His birthday is St. Patty's day, but this was a better time to get together to celebrate.
thanks for stopping by today!

One Card Swap...

I am so blessed to have been partnered up with Jodi...Inked Inspirations! but...I was a little worried about making a card that was worthy of giving to her. She always does such great work and I didn't want to disappoint her! So it took me this long to make one.
I know that her favorite colors are pink and brown...so I tried my best to stay in that color combo. I made the one sure thing I knew how to do and that was making a shaker box. I filled it with pink and brown microbeads w/ clear mixed beads. I used the curved rectangles nesties for the opening of the window, Imaginisce DP, Papertrey Ink raspberry fizz ribbon and a prima flower with doodlebug bling in the middle. The image is from Norway...hanglar stamps. I used my sentiment stamp from hero arts "always friends". I used d'vine swirls from cuttlebug for the background and colored the image with my copics.
I hope Jodi received it in the mail before she sees this. I hope she likes it too! I wanted to make something as sweet as her!

thanks for stopping by today!
the week is almost over...yay!
take care =)

My first "Miss Anya"...

So here's my first "Miss Anya". I wanted to make this for my March Aloha RAK partner. she should be receiving it soon. she lives in Florida and so I hope she gets it and enjoys the goodies too =)
I used my copics and used different shades of blue and green. I tried to give her eye shadow and some sparkle.

have a great hump day!

Little pink purse...

So I tried to make a purse with a template, but when it was printed out, it came out short...so I had to alter it a little and make it my own. That was pretty fun to do! It turned out to be so cute and I wouldn't mind making it again =)
I decided to use the Papertrey Ink CS and DP. I added paper flowers and bling in the middle. I made the handle out of CS and the purse closes with a velcro dot.
I decided to line the inside of the purse to give it a finished look. It actually has a lot of space on the inside so that you can fill it with lots of goodies if you like.

so there you have it...a cute pink purse!

thanks for stopping by today =)
have a wonderful week!

Music on my blog...

I have been asked where I got my music from and the name of the artist/song...I have no idea, but, I went to my slide show and there you can pick music...so I decided instead of having a song with words, I would choose music that was relaxing, soothing and easy to listen to. It stated that it's music from a piano (instrumental) from You Tube and the comments made were that the music is from: Utada Hikaru-First Love (japanese). I hope that helps the ones who asked. I hope you all can enjoy the music. Have a great Monday!
(ps...Thanks to Maria from Stampin' Inspirations...she knew this song right away!)

Invitation pop-up card...

I'm so behind...my daughter' party is coming up in April and I only made the invitations now! Thank you Teri for getting me going! This is going to be a glamour party! The girls will be pampered...painted nails, getting their hair done and maybe some face painting and lip gloss! I finally got my invitations done! I used the Nancy Kubo's digital designs called Aloha Cuties.
here's what the front looks like...I decided to make a pop-up card that I CASEd from Michelle...my BFF! She gave me a pop-up card so I followed her card. I used the "fairest of them all" DP and I used the oval nesties. I also found a border punch I had from a long time ago.
here's a picture up close so you can see all the bling I used. I also used dazzling diamonds and stickles. I also found a small butterfly punch, so I made the girl holding it.
here's what the inside looks like. I typed it out on the computer, used wild wasabi CS and then I ticket cornered it and used some more bling! I used the mega scallop punch, and the SU large oval for the sentiment from sincere salutations.
here's what the pop-up looks like inside the card. that's why you see the wild wasabi CS covering on the top of the card to cover the cut on the outside of the card. I added some ribbon and there you have it. now all I have to do is mail it!

happy Sunday everyone...
hope you are enjoying what's left of your weekend.
take care and thanks for stopping by today!

Mini composition books...

So I have been a little busy...I'm trying to get ready for my daughter's 9th birthday party...I'm making a few things for this and here is one of them...my daughter wanted her theme to be Littlest Pet Shop...so I found some stickers and some mini composition books and here's what I came up with! She's decided to inivite 7 of her little friends and her. So I made 8!
here's the 2 different books I made with the Imaginisce line. I love this paper! I also used the labels one nesties, heart punches from creative memories and the stamp is from hero arts.
here's the "summer cool" Imaginisce DP.

here's the "fairest of them all" Imaginisce DP.

I hope the little girls will like this =)
I'll be posting more for this event.

hope everyone is having a great weekend!
don't get too wet...it's just raining here in Kaneohe, Hawaii!

Jen's b-day RAK...

I finally finished my birthday RAK for Jen...Little C's and Pieces of me...It took me a while but I did it! Thank you Michelle for dropping it off to her! I really appreciate it! I hope that Jen likes what she gets! Hope you had a great birthday Jen!
Here I made a post-it note pad for her.
I love those stamped images from Whipper Snapper that I had to use it!
I had bought some plastic containers from J's and so I decided to use one of them and fill them with goodies...what do you get a girl that has everything! I thought I'll give her some cute stuff and hopefully she can use it...stickles and ribbon! I also got the Hello Kitty sizzix face die and decided to use it for the topper of the case...of course with a big purple bling!
so what's a gift without a card? so I made her one with a cupcake on it! I don't know if Jen's favorite color is purple, but that is my favorite color and I ended up making stuff with purple! I used some dazzling diamonds...and the DP is printed out from designer digitals. I put a Starbucks card in there for her! yup...it's a gift card holder!

thanks everyone for stopping by today!
hope you are having a great week...it's almost over!
can't wait till the weekend!
take care!

Twist box...

Last night...I ended up staying at Teri's house, after the class and we got to hang out and make a few things...I was asked to figure out how to make this box...if anyone knows what this box is called, please let me know and whoever created it...I would like to give proper credit. So after trial and error...I think I got it! so I left my sample with Teri and I went home and first thing this morning, I made one for my BFF of course...her fav. is pink and brown, so I tried to use those colors. I also was blessed to get some stamped images from Teri too...so I could use that little girl holding the bunny from whipper snapper as the picture in the shaker box.
I decided to use the CS and DP from Papertrey Ink. there was an acetate window on the box, but I decided to make it into a shaker box...as you already know I love shaker boxes! I used the 1 3/8" circle punch and I punched out the middle of the scallop punch to make the frame around the circle. the sheer brown ribbon is from Wal-mart.
here's a close up of my shaker box =) I used my pink and brown microbeads from Cute Stuff to use as the filler. the sentiment is a hero art stamp from J's.
so I decided to really decorate the sides of each of the box...
I had the butterfly punches and used the stamp set "only ovals from SU.
here's a new set from SU called: simple friendship.
I love this stamp set!
here's a mixture of sentiment stamps with the 2 different sizes of butterfly punches. I also used pearl bling to make the body of the butterfly stand out!
if you open up the box...this is what it supposed to look like. it's pretty amazing what it looks like when it opens up vs. when it is closed.
here's the top when the box is closed.
here's what the top looks like when the box is open.

once you make one...it's easy to make. It just looks hard because there are a lot of steps involved. you have lots of scoring and some cutting, but this is all made out of one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" CS! I am proud of myself of what I actually accomplished!

hope everyone is having a good Sunday!
have a great week!
thanks for stopping by and leaving me such wonderful comments! I really do appreciate the kind, encouraging and supportive comments left for me.

Gable Box...

here's a short post today...
I wanted to try make something different and I found the directions to a gable box on split coast stampers, so I tried it out & it is so easy to make...
all it takes is one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" CS.
I chose to use the plum pudding CS from Papertrey Ink...I stamped it with cherry blossoms w/ chocolate chip ink and I used DP and ribbon from Papertrey Ink also. I bought the HK sitting embosslit and I thought it finished off the box by using dimensionals. I had some silver paper from Creations Unlimited and so I used that.
I'm going to give this one as a gift...I hope she likes it. I am also going to make a few of these for my daughter's favors for her birthday party coming up. this should turn out wonderful! I'll share those with you when I'm done =)

thanks for stopping by today.
yay...it's Friday!
have a great weekend everyone!

Happy Girl's Day..."Hina-no-Sekku"

March 3rd is known as girl's day in Japan...but it started in China a long time ago. They display their hina dolls and peach blossoms for everyone to see. I have a beautiful girl and love to celebrate this day...so I thought about making something special for my friends and co-workers.
So I got this template from Corie...Creations by Corie.
I loved the box and wanted to try make some. I used different DP, ribbon from the Papertrey Ink and I cut out the Hello Kitty faces with the new sizzix embosslit with gold paper I bought a while ago from Creations Unlimited.
here I packed them with some goodies..
I used the giga scallop punch and the mega circle punch.
I printed out the sentiment and stamped it with my cherry blossoms.
here I bought the post-its from Fisher with Teri yesterday and I used the CS and DP from Papertrey Ink, stamped the clear japanese dolls, colored with my copics and used some bling for the flowers on the kimono.
here's the goodies I put in for my co-workers...
it's always better with chocolate!

hope everyone had a good day!
I bought my daughter her HSM 3 extended version and Madagascar 2 dvds for her special girl's day. I know the gifts have changed from before, but the meaning doesn't.
have a good week!
