Mini Keepsake box...

So if you seen my last post, I was so excited to find a tutorial on how to make the keepsake box on Maria's blog, but I wanted to make one smaller and so came up with this one. I made this for a dear friend Yumi's birthday. it passed a week ago, but I got to see her at the co-ed soccer game last night and thought this would be a good time to give it to her. I wanted to deck out the cover with lots of embellishments...see the flowers, butterflies and bling! love it! and her favorite color is yellow!
here's what it looks like when the box is opened up. perfect for a cute gift to fit inside to give away. I really liked how this turned out.
here's the measurements if you would like to try...
(this is for the box)
CS - 4 1/2" x 6 1/2"
score @ 1" on all sides
(this is the cover)
DP - 4 1/2" x 8 3/4"
score @ 2 3/4", 3 3/4", 6 1/2" and 7 1/2"
***decorate to your liking***
now go out there and make one!

Mother's Day Boxes...

Mother's day is right around the corner ladies...are you ready for this special day? I know that there are lots of you who are mothers...get ready to be pampered and time to relax...lol! I know that most mothers are so unappreciated. I think you all are such wonderful mothers! So with that...my mom was going to get together with her OTC gang and I asked her if I should make anything for the ladies...of course she said "no need". but I know if I don't take the initiative then nothing will be done...so I got up early on Sunday morning...6 am...(what was I thinking?) and I looked for something special to make for my mom's friends. I saw on Maria's blog this cute box called: keepsake box and it was elegant gift to give a mom, so I tried it out. I really liked it. So I went ahead and made 10!
I used the butterfly die from SU and my half pearls. I had to use some flowers and I printed out the sentiment from my computer.
here's what it looks like once it's opened. the box makes a cute size to fit a lot of goodies. I filled these with candies.
hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday...here's to another short week.

Product Spotlight...Wags 'n Whiskers (Kidz 'n Pawz)

Aloha...Happy Monday everyone! here's to another Product Spotlight of the week...Wags 'n Whiskers (Kidz 'n Pawz) Here's a fact for you if you didn't know...all of these images were created with Lacey and Nikki's children in mind. Isn't that just so neat! So if you like what you see, there are more and you can purchase them at Stamp and Create. I also decided to do the sketch challenge at WnWs blog. So go and check them out too. On to my card...the first one is called: Say a Prayer. I love purple and decided to use that as inspiration for this card. I tried to download the sketch, but wasn't able to. I used lots of flowers...trellis-purple mist, prima-mini deep purple roses and prima-fairytale purple roses. I distressed the edges as well, added some crystal effects, used my MS border punch and bling.
the next one I flipped the sketch...just to try something different. I used the image called: Ansley's Surprise. I used this once before...as a Christmas challenge. this time I wanted to use it for a birthday card. So I paper pieced the present. I used basic grey DP, a large star spacer, heart charm, flowers-prima fairytale roses: white and buttercup, mini pink roses and crochet ribbon-ivory. I also used my nesties, some glittered bling and crystal effects.
If you get a chance...stop by the Stamp and Create blog and check out what the other ladies on the DT created...here they are: Chris, Jeanette and Niki.

A friend is better than money in the purse...

We were so blessed to have been able to hang out and spend time with each other, but also that we had the talented Mama teach us how to make this oh so adorable purse! it takes one 12" x 12" sheet of DP. I think this was the easiest thing to make. I really want to use it as my purse when I go out...LOL! so pretty yah!
so with that I really was determined to try and make another purse, but in a smaller version. I decided on 9" x 9" sheet of DP. here's what mine looks like...
I also decided to make a divider inside this purse. I wanted to give some images and other goodies, so I decided to make two compartments. it worked out pretty well.

I also wanted to make a card to go with the purse. I really wanted to ink up my new Spotlight GF image...she's so cute...but I decided to alter her and use Stella's body instead. I made the card a 4" x 4" size and used crystal effects on her headband, heart and shoes. I even added a heart charm...gotta love those charms! here's the size comparison to the purse we made and the purse I made. I think they both came out pretty sweet!
here we are showing off our purses...aren't they just the prettiest thing! gotta say that this was a pretty fun picture...thanks ladies!

Bugaboo OCS...

sorry gang...this one is a late post again...guess I was too busy playing bejeweled last night that I was too tired after that to post...LOL...but I did take pictures and uploaded them to my blog =) any whoo...here's my card. I fell in love with some images that Tammi used on her card from Bugaboo Stamps and so as soon as I found out they were digis, I went straight there to purchase some...well a lot! this one is called BB Bugs-butterfly.
so here's the story...my dear friend Cami taught us how to make a one piece CS easel card. isn't that so neat? now you don't have to cut separate pieces to make it. I loved it and of course I just had to make one! but I didn't want to make just an ordinary easel card...I loved what 1LuvnMama did with her shadow box with Dee Dee and "Stella-r"...so I wanted to try that with the easel card.
I took a side view so that you could see that I used my double stick foam tape to pop it off to have the effect like a shadow box. I probably should have tripled up on the foam tape. oh wells. I did like how it turned out though.
materials used: printed DP, prima mini yellow roses, gypso flowers, nesties-blossom two, large star spacer, butterfly charm, SU sentiment, MS border punch-daisy fan, pink bling and I used that cute bugaboo digi. If you get a chance...stop by Stamp and Create...she just brought in some brand new flowers and other things to her store and if you are like me...gotta have it, then you'll be having a real good shopping day...lol! so till then...take time to reflect and realize all the blessings you have had in your life...then smile =)

Tropical Dreams creations...

I was so surprised to receive something in the mail from Tammi...Tropical Dreams. I was thrilled to receive this amazing and fabulous tri-fold card. She does such wonderful detailed cards and I love the embellishments...especially on this one. her coloring is outstanding and makes the images really come to life. here is the front cover... this is what it looks like when the cover is opened...
here is the card once it's fully opened...
here's the middle panel...isn't she sweet? they are hanglar stanglar images. they are sold in Sweden and Norway. wish they would sell them in the U.S.
this is a second card for my daughter...she used the cutest images ever and I just had to ask her what digis these were...they are called: Bugaboo Stamps (digis) I love the idea that you can place the two digis together and create a scene...like this one...too cute! I just love the DP used too and Tammi told me that it was from MME.
here's another one of them on the inside of the card...
Thank you so much Tammi for the beautiful cards, but most of all for the friendship. We are so blessed! If you haven't had a chance to...go and check out her blog...you won't be disappointed. such a talented lady!

Pop-Up Shaker Box...

Okay gang...A little while back I was given the opportunity to figure out this cute "pop-up box" as I like to call it...and this is all made from one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" CS. amazing yah? well, I decided to make some of these again. I would do a tutorial, but it can get complicated and I really don't want to confuse anyone. I know that others have made this, but this box is based on the measurements I figured out. I don't want anyone to think I took their idea. this is not an original from me. I just figured out my own way to make this. hope you can enjoy it...As you can see I created a few in different colors.
so what is a shaker queen w/o her shaker? so I of course turned this into a shaker. I cut the window opening with my circle nesties. I used the large star spacer from Stamp and Create and used a large bling in the middle. I even tried making my own flowers with a nestie die. didn't turn out as well as I wanted it to...but oh wells. I also used my favorite MS border punch-daisy fan and added bling. I used the cute PI for my image and printed them at 2" big.
here's what it looks like when you lift the top up...
this is what the top looks like when the box is closed.
here is what it looks like once you open it all the way...see you can fill it up with goodies inside! that's what I plan to do!
Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone. This week is a short one for me as furlough Fridays start up again...I love the time off...I just don't try to think of my pay...lol! gotta start crafting...not buying new things, just using what I got...yah right!

Product Spotlight...CC Designs

Another Monday everyone...so you know what that means =) The Product Spotlight of the week is CC designs! Go and check out Stamp and Create...now is your chance to get a hold of all the newest images...at 25% off but you better hurry as they are moving fast! I decided to use lil' bug emma. Isn't she a cutie! I also used a butterfly charm, large star spacer, net-black, ivory trellis roses, mini gypso-mauve & ivory, nesties-label four and basic grey-wisteria DP. You can all of these things at the same place too! What are you waiting for...go now!
have a blessed day...thanks for supporting me by coming by to see what I made. I hope it's not disappointing. Oh btw, I tried that dot technique...takes a lot of practice, I think. so here's my quote for the day: "Practice means to perform, over and over again in the face of all obstacles, some act of vision, of faith, of desire. Pretty Yellow Roses...

One of my dear friends asked me if I could create a special card for her mom's birthday...so of course I couldn't turn her request down. She said her mom's favorite color is yellow and that she likes flowers...NO HELP! hahaha. well, it was a little bit of help =) I didn't think about it until I got home and then started to stress...what was I to create? I fell asleep and woke up at 2:30 am to do this...whew! glad I got it done. I think my best work comes in the wee hours of the morning...lol! any whoo...on to my card. I used my prima roses, large star spacer, heart charm, half pearls and net from Stamp and Create. I also used some dew drops, nesties, cuttlebug embossing folder and the lili of the valley bunny image. what do you think?
I then decided that I better decorate inside the card too...something simple, but to give it a finished look for the entire card. so here's how it looks.
I hope my friend's mom likes her card! it's her birthday today and she should be receiving it. yay...it's Friday...time to have some relaxation and fun this weekend! I would really like to thank everyone for stopping by and leaving me such sweet and encouraging words. it really means a lot to me. here's something to think about...“We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”...Frederick Keonig

Shake your wings...

I wanted to create a special card for the winner of my daughter's blog candy...My daughter pulled Tammi's name and so I knew exactly what I wanted to create for her. I used the Lil' Bug Emma from CC Designs...she's so cute...with her big opu!
since we were all taught by the wonderful Teri...the double shaker...I thought why not create another one! I used flowers, butterfly charm, shimmerz-butter cream on the flowers and flower spacer all from Stamp and Create. I used my dew drops and added some flowers with bling to the back shaker. the front one I used purple and pink microbeads with regular white beads too. I had to use my favorite MS border punch-daisy fan to finish off my card.
used my punches from SU to make the sentiment stand out. I hope she likes what I made. have a good day everyone! I will have more things to share with you throughout the week. something to think about..."Be content with what you have, rejoice in the way things are.
