Double Shakers...

so I finally finished my OCS for Joni...sorry so late! I was in the mood for some reason to make double shakers. So Joni's favorite color is blue and so I found some blue DP to make her double shaker with. I really enjoyed myself this time making it. I used my SU punches and the MS butterfly punch and the border punch as well. this image is the new one from TGF! isn't she just so cute! and I love those sitting ones =)
I was such in the mood to make these lovely and awesome creations that I just had to make another one! the foam was already cut and ready to go, so it made it so much easier. I had bought a lot of this DP for a party, but ended up not using it...so now I have so much of this DP but at least it's pretty =) I used the CC design image for this one. hope my BFF likes it!
I wanted to share with you how to make it...if you go to Teri's blog, she has a tutorial on it. but I just wanted to give you info on what I used. You do need the thicker foam, strong double stick tape, acetate window paper, microbeads or whatever you choose to make your shaker with, I used dew drops on the back shaker window, DP and embellishments. you also should cut out your image in the window and place them between the two acetate windows so the beads don't get stuck to the image you cut out. if I am making you more confused, you can go to Teri's blog and on her sidebar she has a link to her double shaker tutorial. she gives you step by step instructions on how to make these. thanks for stopping by!

Rosalie with roses...

here's a new stamp from CC designs...isn't she just darling! I had to pick her up once I saw it! I decided to use her on this card that I was giving to my boss for her retirement party. I wanted to thank her for all she has done for me and my family. I used my new border punch from MS, prima flowers and the SU tab punch.
I love this DP that I used and I have so much of it! Freida's retirement party colors were pink and green...so this fit perfectly for that. I hope she enjoyed herself! It was so much work putting it together, but it was well worth it. It really looked like she enjoyed herself...I am posting a picture of her...but shhhh...she'd kill me if she knew!
Happy Retirement Freida!
ENJOY the rest of your life =)

Gerbera Daisy tags...

so besides getting ready for Christmas, I am also preparing for Freida, my boss's retirement party on Dec 23rd! I have been getting the favors ready, ordering the cake, collecting the money, the gift pages for our surprise and making tags for this once in a lifetime event! so with BIG help from Kyoko, Michelle, Teri and Linda...here are what the tags look like! Michelle, thank you so much for cutting all those flowers...250 to be exact! Thank you to Kyoko and Teri for coming by Michelle's house to help me assemble those tags! it really took the stress off of me! so here is what they look like =)
I had to figure out what size to make the circles for the middles of the flowers and type out each message...here is what it finally ended up looking like.
one more day and Freida's party will be here! all our hard work will come to a head and we can enjoy the fruits of our labor! hahaha! that sounds funny yah! have a wonderful Tuesday everyone...2 more days left!

4x4x4 box...

okay...I know I said that I wouldn't make any more shakers...but I couldn't resist!
I found this box at GBC while looking for something else...but any whoo...I thought this 4 x 4 x 4 box would be perfect to give as a grab bag gift. My daughter had her soccer team party and there was a grab bag for the adults as well as the kids. So this is what I made for the adults. I decided to make it into a shaker box...but I used that cute image, Birgitta santa from CC designs. used my nesties for the window, added my microbeads and punched out some snowflakes and added some bling!
I also decided to put a sentiment on the top too.
here is the front of the box...I used my DP and PTI ribbon to decorate around the box as well. I was glad to see that the ladies (mothers) fought over the box =)
oh my goodness...it's only 4 days away from CHRISTMAS! hope everyone is done with their shopping and wrapping...I am finishing up a few left, but I should be done by tonight! time for me to enjoy the season! have some PEACE, LOVE and JOY!

Shaker beads...

I'm sorry if you are tired of seeing my shaker boxes =)
here's my last box made with shaker microbeads. I just stamped the short moose in this window and I added lots of beads! if you go to J's...he has brought in so much microbeads and all in different colors by MS. its in a great container where you can just turn it over and shake out the beads from the top. then when you are done you can just cap it.you can see that I love this new Box #3 that I got! I love making it! it's really big and can hold so many things inside! happy hump day...Enjoy the day! thanks so much for stopping by =)

Christmas cards...

So I finally got my @$$ in gear and made some cards so that I could mail my presents out to some sweet ladies! I need to tell you that...this is what holds me up every time I want to send something as I never have the inspiration to make cards! the boxes just sit around because I don't "finish" my card! right now I'm so into making 3-D creations...but any whoo, let's get to the card. I used the manga Christmas girl for the first card. I colored her with my copics and I am enjoying myself using that fun flock I bought from Tamikos! I added some punched out snowflakes, dew drops and I used two different stamps for the sentiment. here's my second Christmas card...I used that new image from TGF called Flapper Anya. She's so cute...I tried to turn it into a Christmas card. She's dancing a jig with some winter music playing...hehehe...I added snowflakes and bling. I hope the gals who receive them will like the card! I had a fun time putting them together.
its Tuesday...hope everyone is soaking in the spirit of Christmas and getting ready for the 25th! I am trying to enjoy it...but time is flying so fast and it's all a whirlwind!

12 x 12 tote...

I always go to look at others blogs and I went to Fun Paper Candy...Tammy's blog and I saw that she had this post on a tote that she had created for a challenge. of course I wanted to try this out because it's so easy! it takes one sheet of 12 x 12 CS or DP. that's it! if you want to see her post, click here. so I went to Ben Franklin this weekend and saw some Christmas DP and wanted to get some to make this project. This one I gave to Jodi...Inked Inspirations. I wanted to thank her for her friendship and wish her a Merry Christmas. I got to see her at Teri's Christmas gathering at her house. I decorated this tote with the cute Santa Tilda I just got in the mail!I filled it with some goodies and I bought some red filler from Ben Franklin too. so I added some inside. used my PTI ribbon and used my heart brads to hold the handles.
here is the Santa Tilda up close...I used the fun flock for her hat.
happy hump day! another week is almost over and that means it's one week closer to Christmas! I still have more shopping to do...wrapping...creating...yikes! I better get a move on and I will have some Christmas blog candy coming soon!

Short Moose and Elf...

so here is what I created with these wonderful boxes! I decided to make one into a shaker. If you know me...I am called the shaker queen...as I love to make shaker boxes. I will try to make a shaker box in anything and everything...if I can =) I tried this with the box #3 and it turned out so cute! I used my new Stampendous Christmas stamps called: Short Moose and Short Elf. Aren't they darling! I love these ones.
I also made a few boxes with windows but just stamped them with snowflakes with white stazon ink and added a tag to each of them. I used my stretchy cord to give it a finished look.
are you done with your Christmas shopping? I am almost there...as I have a few more people to shop for! I better get a move on as Christmas is only 17 days away! thanks for stopping by even with your busy schedule this time of year. it means so much to me!
oh btw...if you have a chance...hop over to the Wag 'n Whiskers blog...they will be releasing their new line on Dec 11th! woo-hoo...can't wait!

Box #3...

got a chance to go to J's this weekend...and he has lots of new stuff in! besides these extra long dies, he has lots of new punches too. if you have a chance, go down to his store and check it out! I purchased this new Box #3...I fell in love with it when I saw a sample at the store that Cheryl had made. It's a pretty big box and can fit a lot of goodies inside =)
here is what it looks like once it's finished. It takes one 12 x 12 CS or DP (5 x 12 for each strip to cut the box out and you need 2 strips). you need to cut out 4 pieces...2 of each one. you will see what I mean when you see the die. I used my oval nesties to cut out the window and placed an acetate window over the opening.
here's what it looks like when it's assembled and the box is opened...
here's the side view of the box so you can see how deep it is.
stay tuned as I will show you my final product tomorrow...
I did two different styles of many ways to finish this box =)
Happy Monday everyone! it's almost Christmas and I'm getting ready with these boxes as gifts to give to my blogging sisters, co-workers, family and friends!

Sparkling Tilda...

so after all the hoop-la that has been going on in my life...I had some energy last night and decided to make some little gifts for some friends I'll be having lunch with today! I just got in my new Magnolia stamps...Tilda is so cute! I used the image called sparkling Tilda for the front. I colored her with my copics...used my stickles and cut her out...I know...I know...with my tennis elbow...it didn't help one bit, but I just had to cut her out =) made them in pretty purple and pink color boxes...It's an original! I also used some of that stretch cord to finish the box.so here's the one of the purple ones...I used my pretty DP to cover the outside. I found a sweet sentiment to put on the front too. perfect for who I am giving this to.
here's the pink one...
okay...I know you are asking...where are the measurements! I am going by memory as I forgot to write them down! crazy me yah! it can fit something small inside...I put some stamped images to share. okay...here goes...hope you can understand my directions =)
CS is 4 1/4" x 10 1/2"
score @ 4 1/2", 5", 9 1/2" and 10"
(this is the 10 1/2" edge on top of the scorer)
score both ends @ 1/2" or if it's easier @ 3 3/4".
(this is the 4 1/2" edge on top of the scorer)
you will cut the tabs to create the box...but where you see the double score lines crossing each other, please cut this off...this is how you make your little flap to close the top of the box. also go ahead and corner round the corners.
put adhesive on the 1/2" flaps on the sides to put box together.
just add whatever DP and image you may want...
then you are all done!
have a wonderful Tuesday! I'm off to enjoy myself with friends =)

Fun Flock fun...

just a little note for you to think about this Christmas time...tis the reason for the season:
A TRUE FRIEND will be LOYAL no matter what the COST. They would never put you down or try to be your boss. In heartache a heart they will share, They'll always try to show you how much they care. A true friend will always be there in good times and in bad. They'll try to make you laugh when you're feeling sad. I know ...without a doubt that a true friend I have in you. I hope that you know that I'm a true friend too.
this past weekend we got together for a day of crafting...I decided to make RAKS for everyone as it was a small group of gals. I decided to use the Christmas Anya...I got to use my fun flock! I think that using it for one is fine, but when you have to make 13 of them...it gets to be a little messy! I used the box die from SU and used some pretty Christmas paper that I got from a dear sweet friend =) I added some goodies and gave them away!here I colored her in my copics...one in green and one in red. added some gold stickles for her belt and bow...used the fun flock on everything white.
this was fun to make...but cutting her out was a pain...so much so that I think it aggravated my arm and now I do have tennis elbow. it bothers me when I squeeze, grip or pick up things. I try not to do to much stuff...but it's hard not to craft! hopefully the pain will go away soon. hope you all are having a wonderful Monday! I am starting to feel the Christmas spirit in the air!

Thanksgiving blog candy...

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and weekend! I actually tried shopping on "black Friday" and it wasn't all the hype that it turned out to be. I had to fight crowds, stand in long lines and I had to do it at my sleeping time! It was interesting what people will do for a sale! I actually didn't get anything "special". but all in all it was an experience and I am now satisfied with being able to say I did another black Friday but I won't do this again =)

EBONY...

Isn't she the cutest thing?! I was lucky to purchase her as a digi as a one day special from TGF. they were offering special digis for one day ONLY and she's from the wild sprouts. her name is Ebony...I took off the skull on her shirt and left it blank...I then added my own initial on it for my OCS partner for November. I came up with the idea to print her out exactly as I copied her. Ebony's measurement is 8 1/2 long by 5 1/2 wide. I love it! I colored her with my copics...looking at her I realize how much ink I must have used...but she was so fun to color!
so I cut her out but made sure I had another CS behind for the back. I used a purple sugarcoated brad to hold them together. I added some bling to her shoes and stickles to her eye shadow.
now I just have to write on the back CS and give it to...KYOKO! hope she likes my one of a kind creation! I hope you all like it too =)
Happy BLACK Friday! Be safe and shop...shop...shop!

A Little Yummy for your Tummy...

I think this is the last of these mini composition books...I had to make a set for my mom's work friends (that she used to work with)...they get together once a month and have a good old time! So she wanted to get the girls something...I offered to make her these. I used the Tilda from the "A little yummy for your tummy" line. She's so cute! I had to get the jar that went with it. I don't have candy to fill the jars...so I used my mini butterfly punch. I so loved how it turned out!
here are a three of my favorites...I know you can't see it...but I popped up the lollipop, used crystal effects on it...used stickles on her dress and bows in her hair...colored her with my copics, cut them all out and used double stick foam tape to pop them off the book. added ribbon and punched butterflies...stamped "for you" in the tag...whew! this was a lot of work!
here's one of the favorites...pink and brown...I had bought these mini retractable pens from fishers a while back...I wanted to add a pen with the book. I can't stop looking at her! she's so cute! the Tildas really do grow on you =)
we are half way through the week. I will be posting my blog candy tomorrow! perfect! just in time for Thanksgiving...have a safe holiday everyone! enjoy family and friends and always remember what you are thankful for.

Team Mom...thank you!

So...finally our season had to come to an end. The ninjas on fire had their last game. With that the boys got goodie bags and trophies! they were so excited =) but with that my brother and I wanted to thank the team mom for a wonderful season! So I made the card. I just got this Penny Johnson stamp...and it's perfect because this cute bear is playing soccer! Used my nesties, colored with copics and used the SU sentiment.
here is a picture of the image up close...I wanted to show you that I popped up the soccer ball to make it look like it's coming right at you =) I used orange and black because that's the team colors.
here's the inside of the card...I made it into a GCH because we are getting her a gift card. I had to make a pocket...decorated it with prima flowers and added brads.
hope everyone is having a fun Tuesday...it's almost Thanksgiving!
