Happiness...

...SURFING IAN...
For those of you who are close to me, know my story/history...so to make a long story short...I have a son who's 19. I know you know my darling daughter as I always talk or post pictures of her. Well, my kid is leaving for college today and so I wanted to make a special card for him. I know he's an awesome and fantastic soccer player as well as a cute and wonderful kid, but he also loves to surf...so I decided to use surfing Ian for my image. I didn't know what to create, but ended up making another shaker easel.
here is what it looks like once the easel is up...the sentiment is computer generated and I punched out some flowers and added some pearl bling. I used the new DP from Imaginisce and I am loving the new satin ribbon from SU. I didn't take a picture of the next layer as right underneath the the bottom I created a card where I could write a special message to him.
As every mother's dream is for their child to be happy, successful and content with where they are and what they do and become...I am proud to say that I must have done something right as he's taking a step in the right direction for a better and brighter future!

Creepy Monday...

...MONDAY...
It's Thursday!...and I have a cutie to share with you! I know her name is "Monday" but I have other posts to share on that day...so I am sharing her today! I colored her in my blues because the person receiving this loves that color. She's not an image that's "normal" so I wanted her to really stand out! I spritzed her with my shimmer mist to make her sparkle.
here I used DP purchased at Tamikos. I also used my crocheted lace in black. I added my flowers and distressed the edges.
If you love this image and other images from TGF, you can purchase them at Tamikos. if you check out her store...she is having a discount of 10% on her rubber stamps and if you spend $25 or more...it's free shipping!

Creepy Wednesday Slider...

...CREEPY WEDNESDAY...
Happy Wednesday or Hump Day everyone! I have a cute slider to show you. I never tried this before but received a few creations like this and wanted to try one. I made this into a double slider because I bought a couple of stamps for my bff and wanted to give it to her. I decorated the front with my cute creepy Wednesday. You can purchase this at Tamikos. She really does grow on you and I added lots of my pretty flowers...what's a creation without it?
here's what it looks like once I slide the stamps up. colored my image with my copics and sprayed the image with shimmerz to make it sparkle.
hope you all have a beautiful day!

Shades of Purple...

...IZZY...
Another Tuesday is upon us and I wanted to share with you this card I made for a dear sweet friend who always blesses my daughter with all her clothes, bags and other goodies that she has kept throughout the years and now wants to share them. I wanted to make a special card and her favorite color is purple too! So I decided to ink up TGF - Izzy and color her in different shades of purple. I used the new CS concord crush from SU, some pretty DP and can't leave out those pretty roses.
I added a gift card inside. I hope she liked her card and could use the gc. hope everyone is having a good start to the work week. thanks for stopping by as it means so much to me!

Product Spotlight...Sweet November

...DARBY & PENELOPE...
Happy...Happy...Monday! It's another week for the Product Spotlight of the week for the Stamp and Create store. this week it's Sweet November stamps! isn't that great? so I used Darby and Penelope. I chose them because I love that these two are bffs! at least that is what it reminds me of. I colored them with my copics and had a blast.
I also used my satin ribbon from SU, Kaiser Craft DP called La Di Da, spritzed the entire image with my baby breath to give it a sparkle, used a computer generated sentiment...compliments from my dear friend Tammi, I used mini roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, some bling and HAND stitched my border for the monthly challenge. I don't think I will ever do that again, but I had to try it once. As you can see I made my own block wall so they look like they are sitting on something and I also created a sky behind them. This was my first attempt...hope it turned out okay.
So if you get a chance to join us for the challenge: Stitching which will end at the end of the month, please do so. Also check out the Stamp and Create blog and the DT there. they do such fabulous creations...Chris, Jeanette, Lacey & Sharon. You won't be disappointed.

have a wonderful day...

I finally got a chance to create something for my blog candy winner. I wanted to make something to hold the small items in and topped it off with my famous shaker card. I love to add flowers, a sentiment and satin ribbon. I hope she likes it! I really love this DP used and the "summer" colors. This image is too cute from CC Designs.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend...Enjoy and relax!

MEGAN...

I came back from Vegas and I wanted to get something for the girls on my co-ed team. I didn't just want to give it to them...so I created these cute little bags. I decorated it with my MS border punch for the edges, used different DPs for each one and then used TGF WS - Megan to decorate the front. here i used orange and yellow...
blue, green and purple...
this is what it looks like when it's opened. I held each one closed with a velcro dot.
I wanted to say THANK YOU to my precious daughter as she knew I was pressed for time and helped me cut out each image so that I could color and finish up to make it to my game on time. didn't she do such a fabulous job?!
I love the simple things in life...as these ladies are so appreciative with all that I make for them... even if it's not top notch =)

JADE...

I have created more mini gatefold boxes for a neighborhood watch annual dinner that we just had. we have a $10 grab bag and I usually like to create something. this time I did this and filled it with some cute stuff. I thought that Jade from TGF was perfect for the topper. I used my lotus for the background.
I also decided to add a post it note. I decorated this one with fleur anya. I added some half pearls and stickles. she came out so cute!
it was just a simple cover with CS over the post it note.
here's another one that I made...
both post it notes that I created got a mini pen with it...
Happy Wednesday! thanks for sticking with me...

This one was created for a dear friend who just celebrated a birthday. I hope she had a good one! well...onto my creation. I used this really cute DP that I got from Cute Stuff and I thought this would be perfect for the occasion. I used lots of dew drops and microbeads to make it really shake! Now...isn't that image just so cute! I found her on etsy...yup, she's a digi & it's Pure Innocence and she's holding a cupcake!
here's a shot of my easel card opened up on the top of the drawer...I just used flowers to hold it open. I didn't want to take away from the paper.

An apple a day...

My daughter was attending a special LitArt class at her school for the summer. she really enjoyed herself and learned a lot. so I wanted to make something to thank the teacher for all she did. So I remember seeing a creation on Brenda's blog called: Piggy Desk Organizer and I thought about what I could make. I created an easy way to make a single drawer easel card. I made up my own measurements for the drawer and then made sure the easel was the same size. I added flowers from Wild Orchid and Stamp and Create. I also used TGF - teacher anya.
here's what the easel drawer looks like once it's opened...I used a set from SU for the sentiment, used my crocheted lace that I love and pretty DP I got from Tamikos.
I just wanted to show you what it looks like when the drawer is opened. I made it 2" deep so you could fit lots of goodies inside and not worry about if it would fit.
woo-hoo...it's Friday everyone! If you are like me...we are having another furlough. tired of hearing that?...but I am enjoying it =) have a wonderful weekend...I have so much more to share with you...till next week:

Baby Boy...

Happy Hump Day everyone...amazing how fast the week is flying by. I am amazed, but I think the year of 2010 is for the boys! I have 5 friends who are pregnant or just gave birth and they are all having boys! So I couldn't make my friend's baby shower...so I created a shaker card to send to her. I didn't want to take so long to send this one, so I had to get a move on. I used the new cuddles anya from TGF. I tried to make the image look more like a boy...don't know if I succeeded, but I hope she still likes it.
just added lots of dew drops and microbeads...printed my own sentiment and used my new embossing folder from SU.

be happy...be free...just know that everything must be...
messy, fun and full of joy...cause you are having a baby boy!

Thank you Donna...

I know that this is long overdue...but I finally sent Donna a thank you for winning her blog candy a while back. I created one of my mini gatefold boxes...used that cute Summer from TGF Roll Call and used my Lotus nesties.
I also wanted to create a little card that could fit inside the box. so I used my ketto stamps...which I haven't done in a while...they are small and perfect to fit. I used my labels one nesties to make this shaped card.
hope Donna liked her "surprise" in the mail. Have a good week everyone.
