I love these new shapes! here's my next card with the boy...I guess I could call him "ROBIN" as he has his mask and cape and ready to take on the world! I made it so that you could use it for a birthday or a congratulations on some acheivement.

Pop-Up box...

I had tried this pop-up box a while back and I took apart one to see how to make it. I don't know who is the originator of this, but if you are the creator of this, please let me know! I love this box because it's only one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" CS. You can make a shaker box on one of the panels, but this one I decided to just decorate the sides. I used one of the new cheeky images, Shooter. I am loving these new images. If you want to purchase these, you can go straight to Tamiko's and buy them right now! tell her Joy sent you =)
here is what it looks like when you pull up the top of the box. I added a border around the edges and I added some stars to give it a good old western look.
here is the top of the box and when you pull up the top, this is what it looks like.
here is what it looks like when you are looking straight down into the box. you can fill it with some goodies. then you can close it and give it away!hope everyone is having a great week...it's half way done and one day closer to the weekend! hey, just remembered that it's a furlough Friday for the Judiciary. I am going to enjoy this long weekend! have a good one!

Cheeky Rockabilly...

I have been waiting to use these cute Cheeky stamps that just came in...my favorite one has to be this one...Miss Rockabilly...Miss Sassy if you have some naughty in you =) I love coloring her hair all different colors...mostly black and red for this cutie! If you love these stamps as much as I do...go and check out TAMIKO's...she has them in stock and if you spend more than $25 it's free shipping...go and check her out now!
I guess you can say that I didn't get enough of these easel drawer boxes, but I did have a few more to make, so I wanted to use this stamp and here's my first one! I love to color her in red and the black just made everything stand out more. if you didn't see my last post, I posted a tutorial on how to make these simple easel drawers.
here's the other one...I used pink and yellow. this one came out so cute too and it really matched the lady who I made this for. if you haven't checked out the Stamp and Create store, go and do so as the charms are still on sale! they really do add to your card...love those flowers and the MS border punches too.
Okay...so this may be the last of these...I should move on to another creation. I will do so for my next post...so stay tuned =)

Kraftin' Kimmie...

Good Morning everyone! I know it's a Monday...but I have something exciting to share with you. Have you been to my blog lately? I have been mentioning the Stamp and Create blog that I would love for you to visit! Well the Stamp and Create store is having another Product Spotlight of the week, which is: Kraftin' Kimmie and it's on sale for 25% off! I wanted to use: Shy Emmylou for you today. Isn't she adorable? here's a close up of her. this image also comes with the sentiment as well.so I have had so many comments and emails on how to make this simple and easy easel drawer box...I would love to share this tutorial with you. so here is what you will need...
1 - 4" x 11" CS

1 - 4" x 8" CS

1 - 4" x 4" CS

1 - 6" x 6" CS

(tip: it only takes 2 - 8" x 11" CS...cut the first two pieces the long way and then cut the next two pieces the short way-width) I hope you can understand.
Take the 6" x 6" piece of CS and score 1" all around...cut one of the score lines to make tabs...seen below...I cut them diagonally so that the tabs won't stick up when put together.
here's what the box looks like when put together...

next take your longest piece...4" x 11" CS and score it at: 1 1/8", 2 1/4", 6 3/8" and 7 1/2". put your double stick tape on the inside (the end of the 7 1/2" score). (tip: if you put your drawer upside down and place it between the 2 1/4" and 6 3/8" score line...then fold this piece over it...the cover will keep it's shape)
here's what it looks like from the side once the long piece is put together...you can see where the drawer is inserted.
then you take your 4" x 8" piece of CS and score it at: 2" and 4". flip it over and put double stick tape on the bigger part...shown below.
stick it down to the TOP of the cover. the flap will turn into your easel. I emphasize the TOP because if you stick it underneath the cover, there will not be enough CS left to make it into a easel. the drawer should be able to be pulled out from the front and the back.
take your 4" x 4" piece of CS and decorate to your heart's content before adding it to your easel flap. just put double stick tape on the bottom of your 4" x 4" CS and there it is! I really wanted to decorate this easel drawer box/card. I also added my calendar to it. that is what I used to hold open my easel, but on my other ones I liked to use buttons, brads, flowers, etc and that is fine too =) I used memento ink, colored with my copics, used MS border punches, flowers, leaves and a butterfly charm. remember: you can purchase your charms at Stamp and Create...you can also get the jump rings and this image there too!

here's the finished easel drawer...

If you have any questions about a step or didn't quite understand my directions, please don't hesitate to contact me or leave me a comment so that I can help you. it's the easiest thing to make and it is a really fabulous gift to give. thanks for waiting for this tutorial...now go and make one of your own easel drawer creation!

Lili of the Valley...

I go to visit my favorite blogs daily, but there was a post on Tropical Dreams that stopped me in my tracks and I had to check out another website. It's called Lili of the Valley. Their products are made in England. I fell in love with a few images and just knew I had to have them! here's one of them...balloon bunny. The images are unmounted stamps, but if you need some thin foam, go to Tamiko's and check out her online store! she has some there and then you don't have to worry about not being able to use your stamps right away =) Isn't this image so cute!
so, on to my card...I created a card for my dear friend Linda! she just celebrated her ?? birthday and I wanted to make her a special card. her favorite color is purple too...so this was even more fun to make! I had a blast coloring this image because if you go to the Lili of the Valley website, there is a coloring tutorial for this bunny. I followed the directions and this is how my balloon bunny came out...hope you had a happy birthday Linda...Ride 'em cowgirl!!!Happy Friday everyone! we made it to the end of the week. hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I am so gracious to everyone who comes by to visit and leave me such happy comments for me to read. I have a smile on my face just knowing the comments are there.
