Anya Angel...

I just got my anya angel stamp in! I was so happy to receive it and I was excited to use it! I bought it from Pink Poison. I'm glad she had some left! I also bought the teacher anya so that I can make a card for my daughter's teacher at the end of the year. so here's what I came up with...
my mom wanted a thank you card for such a sweet person...so I said I could make her one. I used my new nestabilities...Thank you Michelle for my Christmas gift! I used it to make the circle and scallop circle. I used the oval punches and printed out the saying: "you're such an angel"...I cut out her dress and bow from DP and used a pearl bling for the middle of her bow. I had to use dazzling diamonds for her halo and wings...
I used brown stickles for her hair...I had so much fun making her! I used the stylized flowers from cuttlebug...I think that's my favorite embossing folder...I use it all the time =)

Hope everyone is ready for the New Year...

this is the one with the reindeer, used the ski slope DP
here's the santa one up close...using the imaginisce DP.
here's what they look like on the inside.
I used my original gift card holder template to make these.

New HK toy...

So I got to hang out with my BFF at Alamoana today and we were shopping and just enjoying each others company...then we decided to go to J's and check out what he had...so of course I had to buy another HK die. I am not in love with HK...like gotta have it, but I do think she's so cute and she makes gifts all the more exciting!
So I got a chance to play and did a few different versions of her wings. First I wanted to leave it white and I used dazzling diamonds to make her sparkle. Then I made one with pink. I didn't know which one I liked better...and of course I had to make a pink and brown one.
she came out so cute! here's one up close...as you can see I used bling for the middle of her flower and on her wings. I also used my white gel pen to dot around the little flower in the middle. I think that was the most fun part. I didn't like cutting out the wings separately or her clothes, but she is smaller than just the face, so I'm happy.
now the next project is to figure what I will do with these...
stay tuned...I will post projects I used this HK butterfly on or with.
Enjoy and thanks for checking my blog out!

Notebook w/ matching pen...

I saw this HK ornament at Teri's house and I think she said that Cheryl...Life is Sweet...had a make n take and this was it. So I thought why not try it...this is how it came out. I went shopping with Teri at Fishers one day last week and I bought some glitter paper. I decided to use it for HK face and ribbon. It came out great! I added some bells and it's done!
here's my project for the day...we are having our Christmas party at work today and my boss asked if I could make something for grab bag/prizes, so I came up with these notebooks. I was inspired by Joy...Tamikos...she had made some and I wanted to try make some too =) I found some pens, so I decided to make matching pens with it.
the notebook is 5" x 8" and I bought it at Wal-Mart a while back, but I'm sure they still have more. I need to go and buy some more! the pens were also at Wal-Mart for cheap. I rolled the DP into the tube of the pen to match the notebook cover.

I wanted to make something without HK...so I used my Anya stamp...isn't she cute! I used SU DP and ribbon, punches and swirls for decoration.

Here's a close up of her...I tried to make her hair with highlights and I dazzling diamond her dress, wand and crown. She is kind of a big stamp, but I do love this stamp! I stamped her on the cardboard that I got from work...the coloring is so much better than paper or cardstock!

Have a wonderful FRIDAY everyone and a great weekend! Be safe!

Hello Kitty one sheet bag & gift card holders....

I offered to make some gift card holders for my co-workers and I just finished them, but I didn't want to just give it to them in a plastic bag...so I created the one sheet bag and I added the hello kitty to it...she's just so cute...I couldn't resist...I love making these hello kittys...especially with my new found cardstock/cardboard to use! I tried to use Christmas colors for the bag and the hello kitty bow. I used the flower from eastern blooms with a doodlebug gem in the middle.
here are some of the designs I made for the gift card holders that were inside the hello kitty bag. I tried to use different stamp sets, DPs, sizzix diecuts and styles of GCHs. Hope everyone is almost done with Christmas shopping. I am...yay! now to the wrapping and other good things to come! Have a great Thursday and thanks as always for stopping by and leaving me a comment!

An ORIGINAL gift card holder tutorial...

This year...gift card holders have been a great deal at my work...my boss and my co-workers love the idea and have asked me to make a few...I have been looking around for different styles and then I decided I will come up with my own...I am so proud of myself. So here is the tutorial for this gift card holder...I hope you will use it and give me credit =)
First, cut your cardstock to 4 1/4" height x 8 1/2" width...
with an 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock, you can make 2 of these gift card holders...
I used real red cardstock for this demonstration.
score at 4 1/4"...(picture above)
then, score @ 3" the long way...
cut the left side off...
cut the scored line of 3" till you meet up with the 4 1/4" scored line.
crease the scored lines...fold up the right side
(which will be your pocket for your gift card)
you can use brads to hold the pocket in place.
decorate the front to your liking...
I used the sizzix santa, DP paper from SU and ribbon.
Here's what the pocket (inside) looks like.
I chose to use sugar coated brads to hold the pocket in place.

I hope you were intrigued to try something simple and easy to make.
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!
Have a great Wednesday!!!

Hello Kitty gift bags...

I wanted to use this cardboard that one of the lady's at work gave me...I love it because it is white, great for making hello kittys, it's a little thicker than cardstock, but not as thick as chipboard and when I roll it through my big shot, it goes through smoothly and it pops up with no problem...the whiskers, eyes and bow don't get stuck.
the hello kitty was a little bigger, so I decided to just make handles for them...I used ribbon from Papertrey Ink. I sponged the edges of the top note, what makes the bag and the bow. Aren't they so sweet! I love how they turned out! I gave them to the friends who went to Teri's party this past weekend. I had fun making a photo cube and some ornaments for the tree with starbuck frap covers.

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

Composition Book...

My mom wanted to give my niece, her grand-daughter a personalized book for her to write down her thoughts, draw or whatever she may come up with...so I told her I could make something. this is what I came up with...
So, Kayla likes blue...I used the sitting hello kitty...I used the stylized flowers from cuttlebug for the background of the hello kitty...I then stamped the flowers from eastern blooms and the letters are Retro Metro from Sizzix. I used cardstock for the top and back covers. The measurements are 6 3/4" x 9 3/4" for the covers...the DP was 3" x 9 3/4" for the binding part that holds the book together.
I decided to make a pocket on the inside so that if there were something else she needed like stickers or whatever else, she could stick them in her book and she would have it with her.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

Mini Candles...

I love these...they are so cute!my mom is having her once a month luncheon with her girls...they are exchanging little gifts for Christmas...so this year I decided to make some things for her to give them...I made the hello kitty post -it-notes, mini calendar and this adorable mini candles! Michelle found them at Wal-Mart in the Christmas section for only $1.00! Of course I had to go out and buy some! I used DP to wrap around the candle, with ribbon and then I used a small glue dot to attach the snowman, reindeer and the santa...oh and also the snowflakes.
here's what they look like on top...I finally bought the Martha Stewart snowflake punch...I love those mini snowflakes and it gave my decoration the final touch...
I used the Sizzix diecut...this one is the reindeer...I also used the santa and the snowman! aren't these diecuts so cute! I cut the red nose out separate and I colored his antlers and his eyes.

here's a side view of what the candle looks like...

here's the snowflake up close...I sponged it with close to cocoa and used dazzling diamonds...of course you have to use the sparkles to finish it off! thanks to Catherine at Inksomnia...she used these adorable snowflakes and I just had to have them...you know me!

Happy Friday everyone! have a fun but safe weekend!

Tote bag, matching tin and gift card...

So, my boss has asked me to make 30 favors for her aunty's birthday...she wanted those holiday gift bags...the ones I can't seem to get enough of...I figured out once I'm done I will have made 110 bags!!! Yikes!! I am now starting to feel...let's get this over with and I don't have to make another one again!...do you ever get that feeling?
well, anyway...she also asked me to make a tote bag with matching tin and a matching gift card to go with it for her daughter's Christmas party. I thought this would be a great break from making those gift bags, so I ventured on. I used the ski slope DP and there was enough to match everything. I used the certainly celery cardstock for the gift card.
I used the snowman from Sizzix called Winter Set #3...blinged his scarf added some ribbon...and there you go! I think this snowman is so cute! this Sizzix set has a reindeer, snowman, santa and a penguin. I think this one was really worth it! thanks for stopping by today...can you believe it's only 21 days left till CHRISTMAS!

if you haven't signed up yet...on my side bar I have a link to my Paper Craft Planet. Please come and join me and be my friend! I'll be waiting to hear from you =)

Have an "ICE" day...

here's a card I made for a RAK...I hope she likes it.
I used the stamp called: "ice" day penguin by Whipper Snapper.
I used some bling and the baja breeze ribbon.
I used dazzling diamond for the snow...I used kiwi kiss, basic gray and baja breeze for the coloring of the penguin. Michelle taught me how to use my ink pads with my blender pen to get a more natural look and there you have it! Thank you Michelle for teaching me! I love to color my stamped images...so what a great lesson for me to learn!
